Security Visits

OMEGA S.R.L. through a close collaboration of representation with a certifying body such as UDICER, it is able to organize and assist you for the visits and the renewal of the safety certificate for pleasure craft.

The SAFETY CERTIFICATE certifies the compliance of the pleasure boat (for units of hull length exceeding 10 meters, subject to registration) with the provisions of the Implementation Regulations of the Nautical Code. In other words, with the technical and administrative safety regulations provided for by the current nautical legislation. The document is issued when the boat is first registered in the R.I.D. (Recreational Craft Register).

RELEASE (initial visit)

With the aim of obtaining the "safety certificate", the unit is subjected to a complete assessment by UDICER of the safety and seaworthiness characteristics. The first issue certificate is valid for - 8 years, for CE marked boats of design category A or B and, for non CE marked boats, enabled for unlimited navigation; - 10 years, for CE marked boats of design category C or D and, for non-CE marked vessels, enabled to navigate within 6 miles of the coast. For non-CE marked units, by hand, the validity of the lower safety certificate, according to the may be secondary by our body. After the "initial" period of validity, the safety certificate must undergo the renewal procedure.

RENEWAL (periodic visit)

At the end of the 8 or 10 year period, the safety certificate must be new. It will then be valid, for all types of boats, for another 5 years, after which it will go again, for 5 years in 5 years. In the event that the boat undergoes serious damage or significant changes or innovations, which do not affect the essential construction characteristics, the safety certificate is suspended in validity. To validate it, the drive must be subjected to validation.

VALIDATION (occasional visit)

In general, the verification is carried out for the validation of the Safety Certificate following an exceptional event (breakdown, fire, impact ...) and a withdrawal, by the Public Administration, of the navigation license. UDICER carries out an assessment to assess the validity period of the safety and / or safety conditions, guaranteeing the safety period, temporarily suspended.
